John Thompson is listed as a Corporal, that enlisted on August 21st 1862. He was living around Mt. Morris, Wisconsin at the time.

John Thompson & Jonas Nelson didn't fight the South during the Civil War. It was called Minnesota Indian Uprising also known as A War Within A War

All men gave occupation as farmer, and women, keeping house. Norway was the where most came from except for the Indian population who were counted also.
